Of course, I'll thrill & extremely happy to have Ms Gen to continue the 2nd part of BOP, though, I don't see there's any connection to the so-called new reboot. After all, I think there's no way any other actor who could and capable of portraying Michael & Nikita just like Roy & Peta did the astonished good job.
I'll prefer BOP left like that rather than to turn over the rock, IMHO.
