I've read this story before too! (and I've been on a mission to help find it lol) I have the hunch it was a Shelly story (maybe even Laura?, I don't have Laura's stories though) so I've been skimming through them (there's a lot!!) It's an oldie. Michael was definitely a professor/teacher. I thought maybe Nikita was a student. I remember one time he collapsed and was taken to the 'nurses' office. It's not much help, but I'll keep looking.
