After two years solid of writing, breathng and sleeping that story, I HAD to take a break from it. And yes, you're quite right - it was so intricate and detailed that there are chapters that I read now and I simply cannot think for the life of me how I managed to come up with the stuff I did. LOL. Of course, once you start telling the same story from two different POVs, people come to expect it and are often disappointed when you don't come through with it every single time. No one's fault, just a case of a writer exhaustion in a bad way.
If it helps, I do know how the second half of the story plays out and how it ends, so it's not totally a lost cause. *g*
