It could be the claws are not the problem but calcium
deficiency is the problem. Metabolic Bone Disease
can occur if there is insufficient calcium or Vitamin D
in their system. Some of the symptoms you describe can
mean MBD. It can be fatal. The body takes calcium from
the bones if it doesn't get enough through the diet.
It can effect the nervous system and muscle control.
Dark green veggies like Romain lettuce and broccoli
are good sources of Calcium. Yogurt, cottage cheese
calcium blocks, and cuttle bones are also. A good
multi-vitamin for rodents is a good source for all
vitamins. Most use LM Animal Farms added to the water
several times a week. Too many vitamins can be as bad
as too few, so don't over do them.
