Been having spotty memory problems so I thought I better get things checked out. I had a memory evaluation done by Wright State School of Medicine. I learned that I've had two strokes sometime in my past and one of them is fatal 30% of the time. I imagine those were when I had meningitis at age 3 months.I knew I has some atrophy since 1990 but they said it was likely from the meningitis. I have central apnea and that can cause damage and memory problems. I have a seizure disorder that can cause brain damage and memory problems. I was diagnosed with moderate to severe clinical
depression that can cause memory problems. So, with a combination of all, my General Memory Index score was in the 4th percentile. Only 96 of 100 scored higher than me. That was an eye opener. So, in the next week I get a new MRI, a Trans-Cranial Doppler test, and a Carotid Artery Sonogram to see if there are more problems. Then, I don't know what. All I know is that if things continue to decline, I'm screwed....
