Oh,grays are wonderful, Bill! We've had one (or sometimes more) living with us for the last 18 years or so. Spiderman is now 3 years of age; he goes through spells of playing outside and living inside--sometimes he will actually spend the night out but he is always ready to come back in. Recently he became quite interested in Beth, one of the 4 Little Women grays I rehabbed last year and released in the spring. He thinks it quite fun to go out and work on the condo with her, play chase, and dig in the dirt. He is extremely affectionate to me and HAS to have his snuggle time; he's glad the weather is cooler so I wear hoodies again! One of my flyer girls, Hope, spends quite a bit of time in the SAME cage with Spider--and has for over 2 years now, so I guess it works for them! She is my "Houdini" girl; we have no clue how she manages to get in his cage. (At night, after the grays bed down I close the grays in and open the flyers doors.) Hee Hee! If you were closer I would let Opie come to live with you!

>congrats on the new baby gray! That is my next goal is
>to get a gray. I put the word out amongst my other
>rehabber friends. I'd love to get an indoor/outdoor
>friend gray like I had growing up...
