Subject: Young Love, First Love

I had a baby female this spring that just wouldn't tame
down so I kept her. She is a grand daughter of one of
the best female breeders I've owned. This summer when
Fat Boy died one of his females had babies. I was surprised
because I thought he was too old and sickly to father any
more babies. So, I kept one of the boys for a pet for once.
He is really good and loves to be held and fussed over.
Last weekend I put her in his cage because both have been
alone. They pretty much ignored each other and he begged
to get out if I was near the cage. Monday night they made
such a ruckus that they kept waking me up all night. There
was squeaks, squeals, clunking and general commotion all
night but nothing sounded harmful to anyone. When I got up
I went to the cage and said are you finally done fussing?
He looked out of HER nest box but stayed inside. I put my
hand in the cage and he jumped to me. Before I got him out
of the cage he jumped back and went back in her nest box.
I guess he decide she was more fun than me.. lol
I've had him out a few times now but instead of fussing
when he had to go back, he is in a hurry to get back in
the cage. He has so far kept his sweet disposition but
instead of wanting held and petted as long as possible,
it's more like are you done yet so I can go back with her?
And, I hope they live happily ever after....
