Is she easy to handle in the evenings? My young male just
can't hold still at night. During the day he will lay in
my hand and doze off while I pet him. At night in about
20 seconds the back feet are going pitter patter on my
hand and 10 seconds later he is ready to go one way or
another.
Another thing he does is refuse to be bothered while in
his nest box. You do not open it and you do not try to
pick him up out of his box with out him letting you know
it ain't gonna happen. But, if he comes out, I can pick
him up with no resistance.
He has been remodling the nest box the last few nights.
Every night he pulls out his nesting material and puts
it back in again.
I'm still amazed at the size of the Northerns compared
to the Southers. I don't think he could get completely
in my shirt pocket that will hold two Southerns.
