Subject: Tragedy

Tragedy struck this weekend. My brother was watching my squirrel, Icarus while I was gone for the weekend, and his fs Annie was discovered dead this morning and Icarus has a broken rear leg. Neither one of us was there when we think the accident occured, so we can't be sure what happened. My theory is that his roommates had friends come over while he was gone, and they decided to throw them inorder to get them to fly and they broke her neck and his leg, but this is total speculation. I just can't believe they would fight. Neither one of them had any blood or visible bite marks on them, and Icarus has always been very easy going while Annie was the aggressive one telling him where he could go and what to do. Also, the ER vet said that his leg might have to be amputated, but I am concerned about this. I'm taking him to his regular vet tomorrow morning for x rays, but I was wondering if anyone had any advise about leg breaks. Right now my heart is also broken. I just can't believe this has happened.
