If you get a baby glider and bond with it, You will find that they do not mind being handle as much and tend to be more loveable. But without another of its own kind, you have will have to keep it with you for most of the day while its sleeps in your pocket or pouch. and even doing that you have shorten its life considerably. they are social creatures and can not live without one of its own kind. So maybe you'll have your glider 1 to 3 years as appose to 15 years. If you get 2 gliders they will learn to love you and trust you and be a lot of fun but they will bond to each other and not to you. And no mlatter what anyone tells you, you have to clean cage every day, That mean even the wirer. They will even defecate on their food. they have a strong musk smell that is very unpleasant. A neutered pair does not smell as badly. But they do smell. Gliders and flyers like any other critter has pros and cons. I've' had both, and I will take my flyers hands down... I loved my gliders, and I do miss them. But I do not miss the hard work that went with them. And listening to my husband complain about the smell..
