I want to hear your stories.
Here is mine. Nugget was the perfect little squirrel till he hit puberty,then he began to attack my face and do a war dance at me and the mirror.
I thought about returning him to Dennis and then thought I'd try to use negative reinforcement on him.
I used a squirt bottle,which didn't work too well as he'd see it coming and leap before I could nail him.
i also used a time out cage,which helped. getting him INTO the cage was the problem.
Finally i tried a dog whistle..that was the ticket.
I'd blow it and Nugget would run over to the whistle and pound it with his little hand. (and yes,seeing him do this was funny.)
Every time he showed agresson,I'd blow the whistle.
Soon,the behavior stopped except as his balls were re emerging.And eventually even then..Now he has mellowed out and is very well behaved. he will give a gentle nip to my finger if he wants his chest rubbed,which is ok.
