I've only heard of one person being alergic to flyers.

>2. How well do they get along with Sugar Gliders (I
>have one, which is why I was wondering.)?

They can't be housed together. Either one might kill
the other.

>3. Are there any major diseases to be concerned about?

None of any normal diseases associated with animals.
The few that are associated with them are very rare.

>4. I live in Indiana, does anyone know of any reliable
>breeders in Indiana or Ohio?

Ohio yes, Indiana not currently.

>5. Is there an advantage or disadvantage between
>choosing a Southern Flying Squirrel over a Northern
>Flying Squirrel?

Southern Flyers breed twice per year and are 99% of what
is sold as pets. Northerns breed once per year and I still
do not know of a domestic breeder for them. I am going to
give it a try.

>6. How are they when it comes to biting?

Like any other animal. If raised correctly and hand tame,
they seldom bite unless mishandled or mistreated. But, yes,
they can bite.

>7. Compared to sugar gliders, what is their general
>size and temperment?

Souther Flyers are slightly smaller. Similar temperment.
Much more active. Much easier diet. More likely to have
a distinct personality. Flyers are more like a puppy and
Gliders are more like a cat when it comes to personality.

>Thank you again for all of your answers and advice.
