Kalear: Oh! *Chuckles* My friend's from the Silverwing colony; 'e's a bat. They go 'round in the late summer an' collect nectar ta freeze in the winter. They thaw it out in the spring an' add fruits an' nuts to make Bat-Nectarwine. S'really very tastey, actually.

Shade: Greetings General, Avian. Thank you for inviting me. This is a marvelous place you've got, it tis. *Looks around, standing ackwardly with his wings folded. He is used to hanging upside down, or crawling on all fours, as his wings tend to get in the way. He stands quite shakily, as if he can't find his balance.* I'd offer you a pawshake, General *waggles his clawed thumbs, showing that he has no other fingers, but wings and grins.* but it would help to actually have paws.
