 Logan sees Kalear hit the turn ahead of him, so to try and help make up time he pushes off the wall hard and stream lines longer then usual through the water. He surfaces but sees Kalear still going strong. He starts breathing every other stroke to keep his muscles from cramping up. He watches Kalear and then measures her stroke for stoke so she won’t gain more of a lead. He keeps his strength in store, because frankly he doesn't know the distance they are swimming.
