Kevin Smith was giving a talk at a school recently and dropped a few stories about how Jason Mewes (Jay from Jay & Silent Bob) used to be a hardcore heroin addict but when he officially cleaned up a few years ago he started getting way more ass, including a romp with Nicole Richie.

"I fuck a lot more," Smith said Mewes said, "and remember it more. But I fuck a lot shorter too." Apparently one of his remembered sexcapades was everyone's favorite walking stick, Nicole Richie, who, and I quote, "pulled Jay into a bathroom and just sat on his dick and started going at it." While he ejaculated in approximately 30 seconds and it was "running all over her back," she didn't notice because she "had had a few drinks or something." By "drinks," I'm sure he was meant "blow" but didn't say it since that would have been a confusingly false sex pun.
I used to think Kevin Smith was a pretty cool guy, but that was before I found out he wanders around schools making up stories about how his friends do it with Nicole Richie. True or not, that's not something you want people thinking actually happened. He might as well have told everybody he secretly masturbates to Hitler.


MAY 9--In another example of reality being more interesting than reality TV, one of the stars of Fox's upcoming show "The Simple Life"--which relocates a pair of spoiled celebutantes to an Arkansas farm--is facing a felony heroin charge. The six-episode series, which began filming last week, features the rural antics of 22-year-old Paris Hilton and the hotel heiress's sidekick, Nicole Richie, the 21-year-old daughter of singer Lionel Richie. Days before Richie (at right in photo) departed for Altus, Arkansas (pop. 817), she was named in an April 24 Los Angeles Superior Court criminal complaint charging her with felony possession of heroin (and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license). The charges stem from Richie's February 27 arrest in Malibu by L.A. sheriff's deputies. After spending five hours in custody, the 5' 2", 90-pound woman was released on $10,000 bail. But after she was formally charged in the below felony complaint, Richie failed to appear for her April 29 arraignment. A judge then ordered her bail forfeited and issued a warrant for Richie's arrest. Two days later, when Richie's lawyer appeared at the Malibu courthouse, the arrest order was rescinded and her arraignment was rescheduled for June 6. By then, she will have returned from her month-long stay in the Ozarks, where Fox's reverse Beverly Hillbillies follows Hilton and Richie as they do farm chores, pump gas, and sling sandwiches at the Lakeside Foodmart.

Socialite NICOLE RICHIE is fuming after director KEVIN SMITH told an audience of university students she had drunken sex in a bathroom with former drug addict actor JASON MEWES. Smith made the claim during a speech to undergraduates at the University Of Pennsylvania. He alleged Richie, 24, seduced one-time heroin addict Mewes - a long-term friend who has appeared in all his films - two-and-a-half years ago, after dragging him into a bathroom. Smith said the SIMPLE LIFE star, also an-ex heroin addict, "Pulled Jay into a bathroom and just sat on (him) and started going at it." But the adopted daughter of crooner LIONEL RICHIE is outraged. Her spokeswoman CINDY GUAGENTI tells the New York Daily News, "She didn't know his real name till I explained, then said: 'I met him but, ewwwww! Are you kidding me? I've never ever had sex with him.'" We all know she did, we ever heard she didn't use a condom.
