Paul: YOu seem to be confused in your definition of love. In Hebrews it states those whom the Lord loves He disciplines. Discipline ensures that we turn out okay. If God did not love us He would not care how we turn out. But He does in fact *love* us. He loves us enough to discipline us to keep us in line and prepare us for heaven. A child that you love you discipline. It is the same with an animial with whom you want to live. You discipline it so it develops habits that allow it to dwell with you in the house and not make a mess or destroy the house. Love does in fact equal discipline.
