I believe that the time has come for us all to pray for our scatter Church of Jesus Christ. Pray that it can come back together. Pray that we all can prepare for the Second Coming of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I checked out the Book of Mormon on CD's yesterday.
Now I can listen to it whenever I want. It's really nice to be able to listen. I love the language flow. I would like to have the Restored Edition on CD. Is it available anywhere?

The Book Of Mormon

An account written by the hand of Mormon upon plates taken from the plates of Nephi.


Wherefore, it is an abridgment of the record of the people of Nephi, and also of the Lamanites; written to the Lamanites, who are a remnant of the house of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile; writeen by way of commandment, and also by the spirti of prophecy and of revelation. Written, and sealed up, and hid unto the Lord, that they might not be destroyed; to come forth gby the gift and power of God unto the interpertation thereof; sealed by the hand of Moroni, and hid up unto the Lord, to come forth in due time by the way of Gentile; the interpretation threof by the gift of God.
An abridgment taken from the Book of Ether; also, which is a record of the people of Jared; who were scattered at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people, when they were building a tower to get to heaven; which is to shew unto the remnant of the house of Israel what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers; and that they may know the covenants of the Lord, athat they are not cast off for ever; and also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God,manifesting himself unto all nations. And now if there are faults, they are the mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the things of God, that ye may be found spotless at the judgment seat of Christ.

Grandpaw always said, "Christ came to save the sinners, so I don't need to go to no church."
Then Granmaw konked him over the head with a broomstick.

Reminds me of when Uncle Lloyd was baptised. I was about four at the time. I remember the baptism font was an old cow's watering trough about three feet deep.
I was so jealous because he got to go into the water and "play." I can still hear the group of Saints singing, "Shall we gather at the river."
I kept asking when we were going down to the river.

Ah,the sweet innocense of youth.

The other night I deleted some post on this site. The post swere not deleted because of their content. I was learning how to do some things on the adminstrators fourm and deleting was one of the functions. I apologize to anyone whose post was deleted. In the future when I delete it will only be to make room on the site for future posts. And if I can learn to archive posts I will do that.

I have been reading and rereading a book on the life of President Israel Smith. I have found him to be a great man of God and a great President-Prophet of the Church. He was probably one of the last of the prophets before all the apostacy started to settle in on the church.

Ron,

I am very sympathetic with your problem. Here is a scripture that I try to keep in mind all the time.

"Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee."

I feel that we have been waging a serious spiritual battle. But we have to remember just how weak we are. Railing accusations against our enemies does not work, it only comes back to hit us in the face. Michael, the archangel, who is actually Adam, is a powerful, powerful entity in heaven. As a man he lived almost a thousand years and I'm sure became very experienced in contending with evil. And yet even he, does not bring railing accusation against Satan. He leaves it to God to rebuke Satan. God is the one with the power.

I know that you are trying to make this board and all your boards a forum for getting out the truth to those who are interested in hearing it. Think about it, how many church boards will let us discuss "controversial" issues. Before the "revelation" came to ordain women we did not discuss it. Why? Because we thought it would be impolite and in bad form to fight about something that would probalbly not even come about. We trusted our prophet. Because we did not discuss it, it was easy for dishonest people to slide it in without too much trouble. This is what they still want. All kinds of things are happening that need to be discussed. The people need to know and not be kept in ignorance.

Railing accusation, name calling, threats all cloud the true issues. It gives the enemy a handle to attack us on something rather than the issues. This may be a hard lesson to learn, but we must learn it. Even if people we have affection for are guilty of this, we must help them learn it. Those who can't figure it out become a hindrance to informing others.

Shelby I am proud to no you for the lord witness to me that you will be in his kingdom.And if I was an elder I would seal you to it .D&C 65 I belive this is the section if not I will give were it is written That if the lord reveals this to you you are to seal them to it .It is not the elder but God that dwells in them that does this work.
