Here's what I did.

Close the hood far enough so that the latch touches receiver. Look at where it touches. If it is not dead on (center)or the hood will have a hard it closing. If not centered, loosen the two 10mm bolts just enough to move it.

Now that you have the latch and receiver matched, lossen the 10mm nut at the spring (you will need a flat screw driver and I think a 10mm wrench). If it doesn't want to close with out force you will need to screw the stem out just a little bit.
