Yeah, in hindsight it was a bit of insanity! :) I was hoping that if they could assure the quality of the repair, it would be a great way to get a reasonably priced GTS. And it was completely beautiful!! However, I shouldn't be looking for a free lunch; as a wise man once said "There is no such thing as a budget 928 but a budget for a 928". So I am chastened and now I'm thinking about a 1989-1991 928 S4.

I saw a 1989 928 S4 Baltic Blue (lovely color!), 65k miles for $19k on AutoTrader. The search goes on .... :)
