I was recently in Scottsdale, Arizona for the PCA's Phoenix Flight #24 event, visiting Rich Andrade and doing some business afterwards down in Tucson. Managed to squeeze in a round o' golf, too. At the PCA event, I got to talking to the new owner of a 996TT (former longtime 928 owner). Dang it, I forgot the man's name, very cool gentleman, but it turns out he knows Kim personally. He asked me if I'd ever heard of Kim. Silly thing to ask a 928 guy. :-)

The TT owner and Kim were thinking of campaigning the TT in the next One Lap of America, but when Kim found out that the car was a Tiptronic, he said that was a "deal breaker" and declined to run the One Lap in that car. Kim must love his stick shifts!

After seeing the video of Kim in the One Lap when he was showing it at the first/last(/only?) 928 International gathering, I never thought Kim would ever enter another One Lap again. That event truly is a deathmarch.
