I've seen 1994 VIN numbers start with WP0AA. That's not a problem. The car is a 1994 model as designated by the "R" in VIN#. A 1993 model would have a "P" instead of the "R".

Is the car you're looking at in CT a silver auto '94 GTS w/ about 38k miles and asking $29.9K? If it is, I think that car is a flood car with a salvage title. Be sure to run a Carfax. All the electrics in a 928 are at floor level, the ignition brain, fuel inj. computer, relays, fuses - all located in the passenger footwell. It doesn't take the water level to rise too far to wreak havoc. I'd have serious misgivings about buying a flood damaged car unless you can work out an incredible deal/warranty.

Good luck out there. Definitely subscribe to Carfax - it's a service that will do a title search for you.

Dennis
