You might want to find a qualified mechanic in your area, who could give you an estimate on what it takes. A list of mechanics is at http://www.eatel.net/~dslabat/mech.htm.

It is quite possible that the repairs well exceed the value of the car. Also, your car might be worth more if you part it out and sell it in bits and pieces. Sad but true in many cases...

The first 928 I ever drove was a petrol blue '78. I loved it, but did not buy - it needed too much work.
