You may have a leak on your fuel pump of filter, which is located behind a skid plate on the underside rear of the car. Since the pump is electric, a wiring harness runs from the pump location to inside the spare tire well inside the car. Due to slightly lower air pressure inside the car when traveling, fuel fumes are sucked into the car through the wire harness conduit.
