Subject: High Crankcase pressure problem

Hi...

Has anyone any ideas why my 148k mile 85 S2 has suddenly got high crankcase pressure after a full service & full breather pipe clean? If I push the car over 4000 revs the exhust blows out a smoke screen (James Bond style) of blue smoke and on a couple of runs actually blown out the dipstick, but there is no smoke on a cold or warm start.
The oil pressure goes of the gauge, but on idle sits at the normal 3bar after warming up.

The garage has changed the oil from 10/40W Semi Syn to 20/50W mineral - which has helped a little.

Is there a crankcase pressure relief valve that should be operating - or should I start saving for a full engine rebuild?

Thanks.
Mark - UK
