Subject: Just bought an 1987 porsche. Need ADVISE for Newbie~!

Hello
I just bought a 1987 928 S4 porsche with 111k miles and the torque tube broke in half after 2 days driving. I have to get it fixed for about $2k I am also thinking about getting the water pump and the belts replaced at a cost of $1,500.

1) Is there any other preventive maintenance I should do so I can drive safely?
2) I was also thinking about switching to synthetic oil.
Any advise?
3) I have the blaupank CD stereo and I want the sound to be better. ANy advise on upgrading the stereo and sound at the local circuit city?
4) I live in Brooklyn and Queens, NY where there are a lot of potholes. DOes anyone recommend a tire brand or size that is rugged enough for the tough roads. I doubt I will be driving fast in traffic..lol.
5) any advise to where I can get my porsche engine auto work done around Queens, NY and LOng island that is reliable and not so expensive?
6) I was also thinking about tinting the car. BUt I feel that there is already a huge blindspot that making the car dark will make it hard to see out of.
7) ANyone drive the 928 in snow? what changes happen to the engine in extreme cold conditions? Is there anything I can do for the car to adapt to the cold weather?

Thanks,
a new 928 driver who wants to keep the sharks alive
