Go to love German Electrics. I had an 88 Quantum that had a fowled rear power window switch. It caused the blower fan to run continuously on low with the keys removed, draining the battery. It took me forever to figure it out. The best thing you can do is get a hold of a schematic diagram, follow the rear defroster to where it encounters the ignition circuitry and start checking contacts of switches and devices along that path. If you get lucky, someone has already had this problem and post the solution.
