Since we're doing lists, what follows is a list of the top ten players who likely will not return to the CFL for next season:
10) Dario Romero (Edmonton)
9) Antonio Warren (Calgary)
8) Juran Bolden (Winnipeg)
7) Ronald Williams (Edmonton)
6) Doug Brown (Winnipeg)
5) Barrin Simpson (B.C.)
4) Khari Jones (Winnipeg)
3) Anthony Calvillo (Montreal)
2) Terry Vaughn (Edmonton)
1) Marc Boerigter (Calgary)
Nine out of ten of these have a good shot at making an NFL roster, some have already signed. If even 7 of these don't return, it would hurt the league as a whole and insult the fans. True, anybody can be replaced, but something needs to be said for continuity. Thankfully, the loan arrangement that the CFL made with the NFL (or, the "deal with the devil," as I like to call it) will expire in 1993. Then, perhaps, we may once again dare to develop loyaties with our favorite players.
