Hey, I too had problems with trotting and posting when I began riding again after a 3 year break. I looked on the internet very often for any tips and I found a good newsletter on then Rising (posting) trot. You can view the newsletter by visiting this site:

a great book to read would be Horses for dummies, its got great advice on ridng styles of all sorts and tack heaps of info usally priced around $40 its really worth it (dont let the name put you off, ive ben ridding fo 15yrs know and i bought it it really is great)
