Subject: He says he loves me, but is he "in-love" with me?

I have been dating this man for almost 5 years. I have fallen head over heels in love with him and he says he loves me, BUT i need to know if he is "In-Love" with me or is he just biding his time until someone lese comes along? I never had any doubts until yesterday when I found out he is looking into "Online Dating" sites. He says he is "just looking", and that there is no harm in it. I looked into his "History" pages and found that he has signed up on quite a few of these sites. We have been discussing him moving in with me and we have even discussed martraige. I am heart-broken to think that he is looking again after all this time. He was a heavy drinker and he has been off alchohol for almost a year, that is one of the reasons I was starting to think we could make a go of this relationship. My birthdate is 08-11-1958 and his is 10-25-49.I have already been through several bad relationships and really don't want to be hood-winked by another man. Any help you can give would be really appreciated. Should I cut my losses and move on or will this work out for us?
