The Revolutionary War was non-negotiable. The Colonists tried negotiating with the King, but ol' King George wouldn't have any of that! Taxation without representation was the big sticking point. Had England allowed Colonial representation in Parliament, war may have been averted. Of course, we'll never know that for sure. It may have just delayed it.
