Just when you think Greece is dreaming of beaches and what seats it might be able to get for future Italy matches, is has a fine opportunity. This time a header five yards from Japan�s goal, on target, well-struck, just not enough.

Again, Japan is knocking � they are a man up after all. This might have been one of their best chances as a Greece defender, I believe it was Gekas, decided against all better judgement to dribble the ball out � a mere five yards or so in front of his goal � got tangled up, and Japan�s Uchida blasted it a few feet to the right of the goal mouth.

End of Game: Greece 0, Japan 0
And there it is. Both teams have earned the right to sit in front of an air conditioner and let someone else work for a while. In this case, that would be the coaches, who will have the unenviable task of watching this game, and thinking about this game again and again, until a suitable solution to offensive drudgery can be found. I�m not sure it can.
