Before they closed, I would go to Circuit City before Best Buy. I don't wish closing on BB, just amazed that they stayed open and CC closed. I have a metric shit ton of stories about BB's lack of customer service. Their in-store service has gotten better in recent years, and I do believe they've hired more people to work the floor. My most recent mishap with them was actually in their website and upper management. I bought software from them that was supposed to be an instant download that didn't happen. They, at first, were content to leave it at that, no refund. Their contention was that it was a problem with my computer, even though I'd downloaded software from them before. I tried endlessly to get the download to work, from my PC, my son's PC, and even from a friend's PC. Their case didn't uphold. They wanted me to bring my computer in to one of their stores to let a Geek Squad jagoff look at it. No fucking way. I told them strait up their "techs" are total amateurs and weren't coming within 5 feet of the PC I built. In the end, I went back and forth with them for months and they finally relented and refunded my money.... in form of a gift card. -_-
