Subject: What does "liver disease" mean?
In reply to: Ravenous 's message, "Ex-Raider Todd Christensen dead at 57" on 14:09:34 11/13/13 Wed

did he have liver cancer, or did he drink himself to death? Or something else? Privacy and all that is important, but IF a guy has killed himself by personal abuse, I think his last gesture should be to let the world know.

One of the most effective commercials in the early days of the war on smoking tobacco, was the guy who played the losing prosecutor on Perry Mason, a very highly rated show. He bemoaned the early loss of his family just before he died from lung cancer. And almost everyone in America knew his face.

I'm not saying this applies to Todd, cause we don't know. The article doesn't really say. It covers up more than it says. If he had a deteriorating liver disease that was not self-inflicted, SAY IT! What are your protecting? You're dead.

I'm getting kinda tired of famous guys who have something to teach when they die, but choose to take their secrets to the grave instead. Not a very noble choice.
