Subject: Praiseworthy

Recently a new member of LDS-YES posted her web site for all to see. It told of her career choice and the expense of her education. It offered the reader a chance to contribute to offset that expense. My response to her was to offer something of value. There are many who would not mind contributing to the advance of truth, the birth of inspiration, the extension of excellence.

So much of what we enjoy is free. Certainly the artistry, humor, wit, and good taste of the Master Creater are offered for all to enjoy. He bids us come to him and welcomes us freely. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Faith comes to us as a gift.

The greatest gift we can give others is our love and our testimony. Neither diminishes in us as we share and yet we can profit others. It costs nothing and is worth everything.

Perhaps the most noble of gifts we can give is to do work in the temples for others. Temple workers are referred to as "saviors on Mt. Zion" and their proxy effort blesses those who accept the work performed in their behalf.

The greatest of gifts is that given by the Son of God. He gave his life that we might live.
