Hey Everybody - First off I just wanted to say thanks for really listening and being honest (no matter what your opinion). Truth is, there are some things about the disc that bug us. But that's been the case each time we've recorded, and I'm sure that every recording I'm ever involved in will end up with things on them that kill me everytime I hear them. I really think that's just the nature of recording. What may sound good to you the first hundred times you hear it can sound pretty lousy on the hundred-and-first listen. I can't speak for the rest of the band, but what's most important to me is that we keep getting better. One complaint I heard frequently about the last disc is that the vocals were tough to hear. I feel this issue has been cleared up significantly on "Traffic." Of course, there are still plenty of other things we need to get better at. We're still pretty new at this and we're constantly learning things the hard way. All we can hope is that our recordings don't sound so bad that they are unlistenable. To be perfectly honest I'd be much more concerned if the posts said, "Hey guys - the new disc SOUNDS great, but the songs aren't so hot." - maybe those ones are on their way. To each his own, I guess. As for comparing the sound quality of our disc to those of big-time bands - I think its fine, as long as you keep in mind that those bands are probably working with better equipment, more time, and A LOT more money. Though there are exceptions, listen to a lot of local CDs and you'll probably see why we're still pretty happy with the state of things. Finally, none of these are meant to be taken as excuses - we ultimately have to shoulder the responsibility for how everything we do sounds. But I think we're making progress and that's the most important thing to me. Anybody watch Pardon The Interruption? Tony Kornheiser ends every show by saying, "We'll try and do better the next time." We really appreciate everybody's opinions, and thanks again for listening ~Cor
