Subject: CD REVIEW

Hi Guys,

I don't know if you guys saw this review in the Post Standard on Oct.2nd. So here it is.

Carl,
Sorry you missed my review of Candid Daydream disc in Post-Standard.
It ran on Oct. 2.
From our library system, here's what I wrote:

Candid Daydream
rocks with melody
Singer and guitarist Corey Paige and his mates in Candid Daydream - J.P.
Midgley on guitar, Mike Spadaro on bass and Sean Benz on drums - unleash in
their debut a chemistry that a lot of national modern rockers never achieve.
"You've got me like nicotine. And you'll never get rid of me," Paige says in
"Nicotine," a true love song for today.
In the world of Candid Daydream, hot guitar and cool ideas peacefully coexist
in a do-like-I-wanna attitude.
When a band can say, "We stay underground. We don't fool around. So leave the
door open. We're heating the outside," as these guys sing in "Our Joint," and
make it melodic enough to hum along to, that's good thing.
"Crooked Things" has 12 songs and runs 46 minutes, 1 second.
Put it on when: You want a local take on what rock's about these days - great
guitar, rich vocals, infectious melodies, all with enough bite and
rebelliousness to keep it on the hard side of any aisle.

Thanks for your help,
Mark Bialczak
