Subject: mix on things is burnin

I love the first cut from your album. the mix is a lot like "fight for your right" by the beastie boys. its got that killer big guitar sound. my only question is, why is the lead vocal so low in the mix? was that a level problem or an artistic choice? to my ears, it would sound better with the vocal up 1 or 2 db.-especially during the verses.
