This year, I was lucky enough to watch ALL the big 4 pageants. I watched miss universe in NBC, my friend from Japan sent me a Miss International tape, and my filipino friend here recorded miss earth coz she had the filipino channel, and miss world on E!

MISS UNIVERSE - keeps on getting more glamorous every year. I loved every bit of this pageant this year (except some of the semi-finalists) and why the heck did they show footage of last years miss photogenic announcement during the awarding of miss photogenic.I found that pointless. The show was fast paced too, which I lile. This pageant pumps up my heart so it gets NUMBER 1 SPOT!!! 6 out of 5 stars.

MISS INTERNATIONAL - although the stage was a bit dull, I actually enjoyed the program. This year, it's the only pageant that had a "parade of nations" during the final night and I really loved the courtesy shown during the swimsuit parade. Also, although my real favourite to win was Andrea Gomez, I think MI winner is the only real "perfect" for the crown winner this year. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

MISS EARTH - I have never watched previous editions before so I can't really compare it to the previous ones. But according to many, it has improved a lot and in my opinion, it really did. I just wished that the opening didn't just have a blue background though. However, the program was really energetic!!! Lively! vibrant. I also liked the colourful stage. My favourite part is definitely the swimsuit parade, it was really HOTT and like Miss Universe, the show was really fast paced. Miss earth gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me.

MISS WORLD - was this really a beauty pageant? OMG, it was hell boring! In my opinion they should have made good use with the number of delegates they had. The opening was dull and seriously, even MISS INTERNATIONAL was more fun to watch! I'm disappointed at this pageant. I hate the voting system because lots of MORE DESERVING girls are left out. I wish they bring back the old judging system back. Ugh I wasted 5 dollars voting for Miss Canada! Hehe. I would vote for Lizette, but I just dnt really see anything in her. SORRY. MISS WORLD GETS 2.8 out of 5 STARS

Now that Iceland has won Miss World, does anyoe think that Iceland will decide to finally send someone to MU? The 2003 rep collapsed at preliminaries and have not returned since. What is up there? The website still lists MU as a franchise they own...so what is up there? WOuld love to see them back. The second runner-up from this year is amazing!

Also, did anyone ever get chosen for Miss Universe Botswana? The website lists 10 finalists, but no mention of a winner. Was it held in November?
