keeping at arms length if that is what is needed is to keep you from physical harm is o.k. sometimes the best way to show love is to say i love you so i am going to let you go. if they are causing emotional pain change your perspective..... when they say hurtful things or do hurtful actions maybe it is best to feel sorry for that person that they are deceived/hurt bad enough to try to take it out on others with that outlook maybe you can see them through their actions........ or maybe i just dont know.
