Psalm 118:8 (NIV) "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

so recently someone i love so dearly, who i thought would always be there for me totally wasnt. my mother failed to be there when i needed her. this came as a surprise to me, but then i realized the true meaning of this verse. i guess i have always known what it meant, but i never really took the time to see it be applied because i am surrounded by people who have always been there for me through thick and thin. so my "re-newed" revelation is this: i cant blame her for not being perfect, for not being there for me. it is expected of her because she is human. only my God will always be there for me, ALWAYS.
