I agree.
And the bible is full of requirements that God must be
>OBEYED.
I agree.

Therefore it is quite wrong that God forgives
>any and all cases of disobedience.
Nope, you lost me. This is an assertion and you provide no justification for it. I assert that God does not exist in the first place. If he did, I don't see why he wouldn't forgive and if he does not exist, it is a moot point. I was setting a trap to make this assertion, which was obvious from the tone of my first post.
These "kids" scare me: I still respect someone's viewpoint, even if they can't prove it; I have to; I can't prove mine. But I am discouraged that religion provides a vehicle for these kids to throw their life away on useless bible study classes....filled with religious rhetoric. "We share songs and stories or our expereinces with Him."
Why aren't they out volunteering to help the truly needy or something else more useful. God intended them to sit around and watch homeless people starve so they can be "one" with him? Some God......and people believe this is useful instead of just living a "good, moral life".
I lead a good, moral life, but i don't believe in god: I'm going to hell according to the teachings of Christians. An alcoholic, pedophile priest simply asks for forgiveness and he is given the keys to the Pearly Gates? Whether He exists or not: is this a deity worthy of worship and bible study? There is no proof He exists either way: the slant is in favour of science; and yet people believe in a book and all that interpretation has to offer them? Someone enlighten me!

Note the
>carrot/stick approach of heaven/hell that is designed
>to push people to be "better" or else.

Don't always assume you are talking to people who need the obvious explained to them. I sense you are young also. I do hope to cross your path again. I don't come here often, but I will come back soon to respect your thoughts on my post if you care to offer them.
