We have tried singing at one retirement center but we did not have the depth and experience we now have plus stronger voices! Love the idea of the reenactment singings. This would perhaps be more accurate if the Confederacy soldiers could join. Don't think by this time (1860's) the North was still singing Sacred Harp - but - we could entice them
to listen. One of the best singings we had was last summer when we forgot to get the key at the museum and sat around one of the picnic tables and sang. It was glorious! I will be approaching our school principal and asking if I could, with the help of my granddaughter, teach our kids here at CHCM some simple Sacred Harp. May need help from
our group but will get permission first. Blessings, ME
