Hi guys!
I did an interview this week with a guy called Geoff Docherty who was the man responsible for bringing all the bands to the Bay Hotel during the late 60s.
He got all the big bands to play there, including Free, The Who, Pink Floyd etc.
There is also the chance to win a signed copy of Geoff's autobiography too!

Read geoff's account of the Country Joe & the Fish concert with great interest. Does anybody know how to contact Geoff?
Barry is playing a short tour of UK during the last week of June (with Mike Evans of The Action) and I would like to invite him to a show. Give him a chance to catch up maybe.

Great nights with the big names (Who, Tull, Family, and CJ & the Fish) but what about some of those Monday nights when the place was more than half empty to witness Free, Blossom Toes or Aynsley Dunbar or some of the Friday nights before the "big names" began to appear eg. James South Set, Plastic Penny, Root'n Jenny Jackson, Spirit of John Morgan, Writing on the Wall, Juniors Eyes. A late licence, and free transport!! Does anyone else remember some of the lesser known bands that gave their all? Some excellent times, and yes probably wise to look up Geoff Docherty's book to bring it all back.
