Wrapped in only a bathrobe, Mirino opened her door. She sat down next to her mother to watch the news. "Why would someone blow up a company that made pens?" She tilted her head as she examines the feed from the channel twenty-one's helicopter. Fransisca scratches her head.
"You're right. That doesn't make much sense..." She ties off the knot holding a good portion of her green hair up.
"The authorities are enroute to the construction site. Where it looks to be some kind of illegal deal going on. We're going to try and get in closer." The limping bodies of several construction workers walk away from the site. The smoke bellows from the structure, a small clearing opens and a large hole can be seen. "They obviously have no respect for the police, who are only seconds away." The camera turns away toward a freeway where their squad cars flashing lights rocket down the road. The view changes back to the group of people near the site of destruction.
"What an ugly machine." Fransisca says as she points to the hole in it's side.
"I'm just glad I'm not working right now." Mirino states as she lays her upper torso against the small table.
"We at channel twenty-one news, are risking life and limb to bring you this spectacular footage. Right now we are the only news team in the area. OF course that will change in a minute when MBC shows up! Damn you Mark HALL!! You stole my piece on the carnage at the airport two years ago! I hate you! AND YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR WHOLE FU-" The screen flashes blue with a caption that reads 'We are experiencing technical difficulties please stay tuned.'
"Oh well." Mirino sits up and brings herself to her feet. She strolls toward the bathroom, closing the door. She starts the water and holds her hand underneath it waiting for the right warmth. She slides off her bathrobe onto the floor and hops into the shower closing the curtain.
