Nick walks out the door and down the road slowly and then begins to feel that usual feeling in his stomach
"damn... im hungry... i could really go for some donuts but duncan's is on the other side of town... damn..."
Just then Nick looks up at a sign "ChrisB Creme Doughnuts"
"what the hell.... i guess i could try it" he says while his stomach growls even harder and a pained look gets on his face
He walks in and stands in a small line when he finally get to the man behind the counter his hunger is taking over
he looks down at the menu "its a pretty limited amount of donuts you've got here?"
"we make up in quality sir"
"well ill take 4 glazed, 4 chocolate and 4 custard filled and one devil food cake to make is a bakers dozen"
"coming right up sir"
The man went into the back and came back with a box in his hands
Nick hands the man some money and sits down at a small table
He takes the bite out of the devil food cake
"aww.. this is horrible"
He puts the donut down and takes out his phone and calls Mirino's house
"i havent seen her in a bit now i hope she isnt mad or... if she is... wait a second why do i.."
"hello"
"hi mrs. Merrit i was wondering where Mirino was i havent see her in a little while cause i got really caught up in something but im back and i wanted to see if she want to go to dinner"
Mirino's mom got a slightly angered face and then covered it with a smile
"she is at work"
"work?"
"she works at the police station downtown"
"ohh... really... well.... ill just tell her to call me i am pretty sure she has my number well.. sorry to disturb you, have a good day"
"you too Nick"
He hangs the phone up and places it in his pocket and looks down at the donuts and picks up a glazed one and takes a large bite
"damn thats good"
He quickly finishes off the baker's dozen cept for that nasty devil's food and gets on his way to go pick up his bag and find a new room
