For all he knew, even trees grown with the aid of the Master of Earth were suceptible to damage when battered by a large and drowsy dragon like himself. As soon as he was far enough into the meadow to not stall traffic, he settled to the ground wearily.
His wound, while still bleeding and surrounded by twisted, bent, and broken scales, did not bother him as much now--perhaps the dire need of rest had commanded most of his attention, as he yawned again with a small spurt of smoke resulting, closed his eyes, and began to doze. He was not as bold as to fall fully to sleep, of course, knowing Ellendea might need him conscious later on, but dozed off as deep as he dared go at the present time...:.
