Despite my initial opposition to the timing of national league: mainly short duration, significant increase in administrative workload
I definately think the level of polo in the North Island has increased due to the format. Regular competitive games for our top teams seems to be a good start to help our game mature.

I think it would be valuable to set minimum requirements for meets, and to strongly encourage hosting teams to adhere to them (ie perhaps a loss of points?) e.g getting results in, qualified refs, good playing area equipment, visible scoreboards & timeclock

I agree with Kirst that a contacts list should have been available.
The bottom line is that if a team is asked to provide an official contact for their national league team, the official contact should at least be contacted for official correspondence

Venues is a hard one. Personally I would rather have a full sized outdoor court than an indoor undersized court. In some cities the availability of venues isn't ideal and that is unfortunate.

It would be fantastic if clubs could confirm team lists and provide the requested details and fees by the due date. Hopefully this will assist in getting a fully detailed national league bookklet (with the latest playing rules in the back) out to all players at the beginning of the season.

All in all, I definately think NL benefitted those involved.
I'm interested in what peoples views are on regions catering for their non-elite teams?
