Having played both centre line restarts and goal line restarts in New Zealand (now that shows my polo age), I would have to say that centre line restarts can unnecessarily slow down the lower grade games (c grade and social) but I do think that we should consider changing the national league rules for next year.

Before I competed in Australia for the interstates in 2000/2001 I remembered centre line restarts as being a much slower/more boring game, but have since revised that view. I think that anyone competeing overseas needs to have experience in playing centre line restarts so what better place to start this than the national league....
