$150 is sounds good for a *new* schlegal...
I don't forsee a ban on Schlegals in NZ for at least several years (if ever??) -only my personal opinion.

I think at the end of the day a Schlegal vs a lightweight paddle wont be the difference between being a legend player and a gumbie, but it could be worth considering that among NZs top players, these types of paddles are rare(?)

personally: I had a prion (similar construction) and I found after switching to a lighter paddle (Yoz with carbon blades and f/g shaft) that my speed improved due possibly to increased paddle repitition with the lighter paddle?

On the up side, I think I was a far better goalie with the prion.
