1.couldn't say
2.yeah, real easy to roll
3.stern turning excellent, surface turn I was a bit unco at, mainly due to the very square edges (can't think of the correct term just now)
4.susposedly a fast boat, but I suppose that depends on the paddler: it is somewhat narrow (50cm off top of my head) and this helps its speed bc it is also not a short boat (long*narrow=fast).
5.Climax, rings a bell, quite a basic boat from what I can recall.

I once seriously considered buying a mischeif, as at the time (97?) they were the most popular boat amongst top female players, I think this was mainly due to the fact that they were designed to cater to the lighter competitive paddler: although there are large versions as well.

The things I like about the mischeif
-fast
-easy to stern turn
-excellent standard of workmanship (Yoz is a legend: I still have a paddle from 98 and have seem similar streamlites and other composite paddles spin or break in this time)
-the upright position of the paddler gives great control
-very responsive: I think this is mainly due to the narrowness of the boat and the height and way the paddler sits in the boat
-easier to get under players when tackling

Things I don't really like about the mischeif
-poor stability, too tippy
- very poor defensive boat: the low volume allows people to paddle over you too easily

Can I make a guess that you come from down south?
If you are looking at buying a second hand boat or even brand new, there are heaps of boats in available in NZ at the moment. Boats at reasonable prices, which have been modified as the game in NZ matures

It would be my opinon that the Mischeif is past its prime now, but that isn't to say a paddler couldn't be compeitive in it.
